Personality: Pleite is a quiet, careful being of perpetual motion. His anxiety at all times is palpable; he paces and pants and pulls out his fur if he can't pace. He is incredibly self conscious of his appearance and actions, and he seeks nothing but acceptance from those around him. Because he's constantly on edge, it doesn't take a lot of pressure to push him over the edge and make him crazy. His mind slips into a place of self-preservation and he fights and bites and tears to try to escape and ease the pressure. When he calms he is incredibly ashamed of his actions, and his remorse is crushing. His mental state is questionable at best, but he's easily calmed and reset by a friendly dog and some friendly touch. He misses his master desperately and is excited by the idea of human contact, but most humans shun him in fear of his scraggly appearance. When he relaxes and can see clearly, he is a fun dog to be around that loves to play and run.
History: Pleite was born to an old man's faithful mongrel and raised to be a faithful mongrel. His master had a firm and heavy hand and the pup learned quickly to accept the old man's rules. He was given to the old man's grandson to be a companion as he moved off for college. Adjusting to an apartment was tough for the yearling, but he managed. His ears were cropped, and he was given a spike collar to improve his tough look for his owner's friends. Pleite did not mind the attention, but when he was taken to his first dog fight he nearly crumbled. He suffered the wound to his neck and back, and while the other dog was beaten back, he was dragged back home and hastily patched up. For several weeks he sat listlessly in his master's apartment, and the next time he was taken out, fear gripped his heart and the sound of a car horn made him panic. He bit his master and took off into the night. The past few months have been a blur of hunger and pain as he has gotten in more fights and suffered more injuries. His body has began to deteriorate from lack of food, and he has become a ball of nerves.
